Two telephone calls

Politely declined the invitation to contribute to the Policemens’ Benevolent Association.  Called the ACLU, wallet in hand.

And you aren’t even in Missouri! (Actually the hubby’s very much against the militarization of the police and the recent events around here just proved his point)

I got a call from several times when I lived in Chicago. They didn’t want to accept the “no,” even when backed up by “I’m sorry; I’m currently unemployed…No, I don’t have $5 to spare, especially a month before Christmas!… *click*”

It is really galling that anyone doesn’t take no for an answer, ever, but I was beyond astonished that they’d even be calling this week. May my paltry contribution be used to demilitarize police all over this sad country of ours.

I could not BELIEVE the PBA called this week. I was flabbergasted for five, maybe seven whole seconds before my retaliatory pinko commie rage contribution decision kicked in.
