David Sedaris on Undecided Voters

In this week’s New Yorker, unrepentant democrat David Sedaris has a scathing and scatalogical take on the undecided voters in the upcoming election.

I read that, and I couldn’t agree more. I don’t get how someone couldn’t know who they’re going to vote for at this point. I think it’s just laziness. Or stupidity. Or both.

The shit with broken glass reminded me of an old SNL sketch about toys at Christmas time and Dan Akroyd trying to sell “Bag O’Glass”

As far as Political Awareness goes, during the last election I was waiting for a booth to open up and I heard two women talking behind me about who they were voting for and one of them said they picked that particular candidate because their boyfriend had picked that particular candidate. I realized that all the research I’d done was completely cancelled out by this voter who had done no research whatsoever. If more people cared, we wouldn’t have had a moron for another four years.

I enjoyed the article…and the rest of your blog. I am new to your site. My brother was recently diagnosed as bipolar and a few other things…so your site is helpful to me understanding a little bit more about what he might be experiencing. Thanks.
