Dick Cavett on Amb. Crockett and Gen. Petraeus’ testimony

Dick Cavett wrote a scathing indictment of the “speeches” given by Ambassador Crockett and the very model of a Modern Made-Up General, General Petraeus, appearing in the NYT opinion pages today. The piece is a model of what Satire should be– I can think maybe only John Stewart and Steve Martin could come close in their writing.

Ah, how I love Jon Stewart. Seriously. My friend is going to Night of Too Many Stars (she works with autistic kids and other kids with disabilities, and they gave her free tickets) and I am CRAZY jealous.

I really like what was said at the end about Custer only send a tiny amount of men to their deaths and that he died right along side of his men.Do you see any of the generals now a days doing that??

Thanks for the link to that. I would have missed it with my Google Reader so full. Priorities, you know.

Dick Cavett is awesome, but I gotta disagree with Prof J (and I rarely do that) and vote for Jon Stewart based on the dimples alone. How shallow is that?
