On the red line

Leather-jacketed, steel-toe-booted bald man, sporting a long goatee, wearing iron crosses, dog tags, and black knit fingerless gloves, painted with white hand and finger bones.  Black pants, black tee, no color, anywhere.  Wallet chains and pins adorning jacket, pockets, and pants.  Finally, a peace sign, hung around your neck, swaying slightly to the opposite side from your arm, canted up on the armrest, to encircle your son, sleeping in regular school clothes, beside you.
