Overwhelmed
at the end of my rope
under a black cloud–
beyond my capacity
beneath my ability
between a rock and a hard place
(Back) against the wall
(facing) into the wind
upon my knees, hoping.
Behind the curve
around the bend
beyond my means
beside myself
Without a clue
about to crack
at the end of my rope
at wit’s end
after a fashion.
In too deep
inside my head
instead of on–
on top of
on my game
on time
on a tear–
off my rocker,
off, not on.

Nice list poem…I like getting to the ending. And I also liked getting this poem today, since I’m in that boat.
Sorry that you’ve in a rocky spot.
At least you areamong friends.Such a clever poem. I love all your prepositional idioms.I hope that you are feeling better.
If it’s possible, crawl under the covers and watch an old movie…and eat at least three Snickers. Feel better.
I wish for an easy way out of that feeling, for all of us.
